Stunning LARGE Celtic cross made in solid 9k yellow gold. Hallmarks and engravings date it to 1918 and from the company William Egan & Sons of Cork, Ireland! Special historical piece that's extremely rare. Set with cabochon garnets on the ends and an amethyst in the middle. 5-5/8" tall including bale and 3-1/4" wide. Stamped W.E. CORK EGAN. Entire piece weighs 80.7 grams of solid gold! Amazing condition for a 100 year old piece. Was able to locate the original census of Hector Macturk who is the Reverend that this piece was made for, validating its country of origin and more of its historical significance.
