Known as “Ball’s Standard,” this timepiece reflects the rigorous accuracy requirements established during the expansion of the American railroad system. The dust cover is engraved 1893 and comes with a unique swiss Agassiz movement(the movement is signed Switzerland). Before making his own movements in house he was supplied with high end Swiss movements that he would modify to fit the famous "Ball's Standard" for railroad accuracy. A true collector’s piece with enduring character and significance for those who love early American Horology. The entire watch weighs a stunning 132 grams.
